Micah was born and raised in a small town in central Arkansas and has been fishing for as long as he can remember. The Little Red River, where his father taught him how to chase trout, was just a short drive north of home, and when his uncle put a fly rod in his hands at age 10, he was hooked.
As the years passed, Micah found himself in the small streams of the Ozark mountains and his obsession grew as he chased smallmouth bass and alligator gar at every opportunity. After spending time chasing high alpine cutthroat trout in the mountains of Idaho, Micah attended Sweetwater Travel Fly Fishing Guide School and began guiding trips in western North Carolina and Tennessee.
Micah moved to Pinedale full time in early 2019. He is just as comfortable cruising down the river in a drift boat searching for trophy browns as he is stalking spooky natives in high alpine creeks. When he’s not on the river, you’ll find him in the shop keeping folks up to date with the latest bugs, gear and conditions.
